Moving to a smaller place can mean working out what you need, what will fit and what you are ready to pass on. I’m Carla. I can work alongside you to sort manageable groups of belongings and organise what you choose to keep.

Start with the space you are moving into

If you have room measurements or a floor plan, keep them to hand. We can think through everyday needs before packing: the clothes you reach for, the kitchen things you use and the possessions you want close by. You do not need to make every decision in one visit.

1. Choose one area, such as wardrobes, kitchen cupboard or collection of household items.
2. Separate what you want to keep, what you are ready to pass on and what needs more thought.
3. Organise or label the agreed belongings for their next place.
4. Write down the remaining decisions and any collections you need to arrange.

What stays is always your choice

Sentimental things do not need an immediate answer. We can keep an agreed “decide later” area and return to it when you are ready. Nothing is discarded without your agreement. Donations, collection and disposal remain your arrangement; I do not transport waste or provide a house-clearance service.

Helping a parent move somewhere smaller

If a parent is moving to a smaller home or a flat, I can help them sort what fits the new space, pack the things they choose and set up the rooms they’ll use first. They stay in charge of every decision.

The person receiving the help must want it and agree the work. Paying for a visit does not give someone authority over another person’s belongings. We agree who can make decisions and whether updates may be shared before starting. This is practical organising, not personal care, estate administration, valuation or legal advice.

Choose time for one useful priority

Fresh Start is £105 for 3 hours. Home Reset is £205 for 6 hours. We discuss a realistic focus first; the amount we can sort depends on the volume and the decisions involved. Downsizing help uses the agreed session time and is not an automatic extra fee.
